Upcoming Class:

Cranio-Sacral Therapy IV

Four day intensive class—9:00 AM- 5:00 PM

June 8-11 2007

Prerequisite: Must have completed CST I-III

Class objectives for this course include:

  • Deepen your understanding of the therapeutic process.
  • Increase your skill and confidence using dialoguing during a CST session.
  • Gain more experience with multiple-hands on work.
  • Receive treatments to further your own personal growth work.

Maximum class size is ten students, with two Teaching assistants and Dr. Hall.

Students will learn material in multiple hands on sessions, where four students and one TA work simultaneously on a fifth student.  Each day has five sessions so each student is giving four treatments and receiving one. Each morning there will be a discussion of the previous day’s sessions from the patient’s perspective, the perspective of each practitioner and the TA.  We will be watching not so much for content, as each is personal, but for decision points that came up during the session, factors going into the decisions and the outcome of the decisions, etc.  We also brainstorm strategies to try if similar situations present themselves.

If you are serious about doing CST in your practice, this course is a “not to be missed” experience.  This one course will do more than all your previous courses to boost your confidence dealing with any SER that may present itself to you And as much work as I get done on myself, still some of my most productive insights and shifts came to me when I was worked on in classes such as this one.  We can only take someone down the path of healing as far as we’ve gone ourselves or as far as we’re willing to go in that moment with the patient.  As practitioners, we have more to offer our patients if we continue to do our own personal growth work.  This class is a really helpful piece in this context.

Instructor: Steven M Hall MD has been practicing CST intensively in his practice for fifteen years. He has done extensive course work with the Upledger Institute, and other noted cranial practitioners. In addition to his practice, he teaches CST I-IV at Bastyr University.
